Beijing No.165 High School was established in 1982. It is one of the municipal key schools of Beijing and was honored as one of the first model high school in Beijing in 2008.
No.165 High School is to the west of Beijing Taoranting Park, surrounded by green trees and grass, and the environment is graceful. The entire school ground covers a total area of more than 45,000 square meters. The modern school building consists of two teaching buildings, a laboratory building, an office building, and a gymnasium. To the east of the school building is a standard 400-metre synthetic resin track. Multimedia equipment is available in every classroom. There are also modern facilities in computer rooms and laboratories of physics, chemistry and biology. The computer network and cable TV system provides a powerful backing for education and teaching.
The school consists of 38 classes of three senior grades and more than 1800 students at present. The teachers on our staff are qualified professional and of the highest noble character. Out of a staff of 93 teachers, about 60% of the teaching staff are senior teachers.
Professors are invited on a regular basis as guest speakers to address the students and faculty of No.15 High School. These speakers are from Beijing University, Qinghua University, Beijing Normal University and the Capital Teacher's University.
Teachers and students have been given opportunities to participate in exchange program since 1993. On-going partnerships have been developed with countries such as Korea, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Japan and the United States.
